Rangers de Talca set to sign forward Ignacio Mesías as fourth reinforcement
Chilean Primera B side Rangers de Talca is close to completing the signing of striker Ignacio Mesías, which would make him the club's fourth new player for the second half of the season. The deal still requires clearance from Union La Calera, which holds his registration, and from Deportes Concepción, where he was on loan. Once those matters are resolved, Mesías – who netted 19 goals for Deportes Concepción in the 2024 Segunda División campaign – will join the squad that already added Iván Rozas, Lautaro Rigazzi and Junior Arias. Rangers are hoping the addition will help the team reverse a disastrous first half in which they earned only three points out of a possible 45 and avoid relegation.
The club's management, led by coach Ivo Basay, has indicated that the signing is part of a broader effort to mount a historic comeback and secure their place in Primera B for the next season.
