Rangers de Talca signs Junior Arias and fails to secure Leandro Garate

Rangers de Talca announced the signing of Uruguayan forward Junior Arias, the club's third reinforcement of the winter market. Arias, 33, arrived from Argentine side Aldosivi after stints with Palestino and several clubs across South America. He has already begun training with the team, which is looking to retain its place in Chile's Primera B.

The club also made a formal offer for Argentine striker Leandro Garate, who previously impressed in Chile with teams such as Barnechea and Unión Española. Negotiations did not succeed because the proposed fee exceeded the financial parameters typical for the division. Unión Española had also shown interest in Garate, but economic constraints blocked that move as well. Garate, currently playing in Greece, is expected to decide between a potential return to Chile or a transfer to Argentine side Colón de Santa Fe.
