Rangers defender Olwethu Makhanya attracts European interest

Rangers FC defender Olwethu Makhanya is attracting significant interest from scouts across Europe’s top five leagues. The 22-year-old, who joined the Glasgow-based club from Philadelphia Union, has made an immediate impact in Scotland.

Since his arrival, Makhanya has started all six of his league appearances, contributing to four clean sheets. His statistical performance includes an 85.2% pass accuracy and high defensive output, including 24 clearances and 27 times winning possession in his first five games. Reports suggest that clubs in the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 are monitoring his progress, with potential inquiries expected next summer if his current form continues.
