Rangers eye Scottish Premiership lead and Billy Gilmour return

Rangers have the opportunity to move to the top of the Scottish Premiership following a period of improved form. Currently sitting in second place with 16 points, the club trails leaders Celtic, who have 18 points. A victory against Kilmarnock at Ibrox would place Rangers one point ahead of Celtic, provided Celtic does not reclaim the lead in their subsequent match against Motherwell.

Amidst this competitive surge, discussions have emerged regarding potential squad reinforcements. Supporters have expressed significant interest in the return of midfielder Billy Gilmour. A poll indicated that approximately 65% of respondents favor bringing the Napoli player back to the club over other options like Lewis Ferguson. Gilmour, who has earned 50 caps for Scotland, is viewed as a high-value target for the midfield.
