Rangers FC faces VAR controversy and transfer interest

Rangers FC midfielder Vanja Dragojević has faced scrutiny following a controversial penalty decision during a 1-2 defeat against Hibernian. Although the head referee did not initially award the penalty, the decision was overturned following a VAR intervention.

Rangers manager Derek McInnes criticized the ruling, stating that the VAR intervention should not have occurred and that the decision forced his team to chase the game prematurely. Football consultant Michael Stewart echoed these sentiments, suggesting that while Dragojević raised his hand, the contact did not warrant a penalty.

In related transfer news, Rangers is reportedly interested in signing Kosta Nedeljković, a former Red Star Belgrade player currently at Aston Villa, as manager Derek McInnes looks to strengthen the club's defensive line.
