Rangers International and Plateau United to meet in NPFL Super 6 final

Rangers International and Plateau United are set to compete in the final of the 2026 NPFL Super 6 Preseason Tournament. The match will take place at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday, August 23, with a scheduled kick-off of 16:00.

As the reigning NPFL champions, the Enugu-based Rangers International aim to demonstrate that their title-winning form from the 2025/26 season remains intact. Plateau United, playing at home, will look to leverage local support following a 1-0 opening victory against Rivers United, secured by a goal from Jibril Ibrahim.

The tournament serves as a critical competitive test for clubs ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season and provides preparation for upcoming CAF inter-club competitions. The competition features six teams: Rangers International, Rivers United, El-Kanemi Warriors, Katsina United, Plateau United, and Mighty Jets.
