Rangers name Fabián Marzuca as new sporting manager

Chile's Rangers de Talca announced the appointment of former coach Fabián Marzuca as the club's new sporting manager, taking over from Mauricio Segovia. Marzuca, who has coached teams such as Deportes Recoleta, Santiago Morning, Deportes Santa Cruz and San Antonio Unido, said his immediate priority is to support the head coach and bolster the squad during the winter transfer window.

He also outlined a longer‑term plan that will look beyond the current crisis, aiming to shape the club’s structure, infrastructure, youth and women’s programmes and target a 2027 outlook. Marzuca dismissed rumours that he was being considered for a coaching role, confirming he has had no formal talks about being the head coach. The club’s next fixture is a home match against Deportes Santa Cruz on 6 June in the Primera B season.
