Ranko Ristić opens arms trading branch in Republika Srpska

Ranko Ristić, owner of the Chicago-based arms trading company Redstar Ordnance LLC, has registered a new business unit in Višegrad, Republika Srpska. The entity will operate under the name ‘Crvena Zvezda municija i oružje’ (Red Star Ammunition and Weapons).

Ristić is identified as a key lobbyist for Milorad Dodik, leader of the SNSD. Reports indicate Ristić has played a significant role in connecting Dodik with political circles in the United States, including involvement with events related to the Trump administration and facilitating Dodik’s recognition at the 2026 World Leaders Forum organized by Judson University.

Previously, Ristić founded Zastava Arms USA, which serves as the exclusive importer for the Serbian company Zastava Arms. In January, Ristić visited Republika Srpska alongside former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and Trump associate Joseph Schmitz.
