Ranma 1/2 anime collaboration handkerchief lottery announced

Nippan Inc. has announced the release of the ‘Ranma 1/2 Gyu-gyutto! Handkerchief Lottery,’ a new collaboration product based on the popular TV anime series. Scheduled for release on September 9, 2026, the product will be available at bookstores, variety shops, and e-commerce sites across Japan.

The product features compressed handkerchiefs that expand to approximately 24cm x 24cm when the packaging is removed and the material is moistened with water. There are six different designs featuring characters such as Ranma, Akane, Shampoo, and Ryoga, depicting various expressions and iconic scenes from the anime. One of the six designs is a secret variant, adding an element of surprise to the unwrapping process.

The release comes as the Ranma 1/2 anime franchise continues its recent revival, with a third season scheduled to begin broadcasting in October 2026.
