RANME hosts conference on advanced musculoskeletal imaging
The Real Academia Nacional de Medicina de España (RANME) is hosting the XI Scientific Conference on Medical Imaging, Disruptive Technology, and Clinical Innovation in the Musculoskeletal System on September 17 in Madrid. The event, sponsored by Philips, focuses on how medical imaging is evolving from purely anatomical assessments toward techniques that provide functional and quantitative data.
Clinical and academic experts will analyze the roles of advanced magnetic resonance imaging, artificial intelligence, and quantitative tissue characterization in treating orthopedic and traumatological pathologies. These advancements allow for more precise evaluations of cartilage, soft tissues, and other articular components, aiding in diagnosis, therapeutic planning, and patient monitoring. The session is coordinated by professors Luis Martí-Bonmatí and José Luis Carreras Delgado.
