Ranoj Pegu urges educational institutions to prioritize skill development
Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has called on educational institutions to move beyond conventional teaching methods to remain relevant. Speaking at the 65th Foundation Day of Gauhati Commerce College, Pegu emphasized that the quality of an institution should be measured by the employment and entrepreneurship opportunities it provides for its students.
He urged colleges to redesign teaching practices with a focus on skill development, artificial intelligence, and information technology. The Minister noted that learning should encourage students to become entrepreneurs and generate employment rather than relying solely on traditional job roles.
