Rapallo councilor proposes coworking hub at Villa Devoto

Francesco Angiolani, leader of the Democratic Party and ScegliAmo Rapallo, has submitted a motion to transform Villa Devoto into a modern coworking and co-studying hub. The proposal aims to serve remote workers, professionals, and local students.

Villa Devoto was acquired by the Municipality of Rapallo between late 2022 and early 2023 through a public loan. The building has remained closed for long periods and is currently considered underutilized relative to its historical value and logistical potential.

The initiative seeks to meet the rising demand for flexible, well-equipped workspaces by installing high-speed Wi-Fi, meeting rooms, and independent workstations. Angiolani noted that neighboring areas like Chiavari and Sestri Levante have already successfully implemented similar spaces to attract digital nomads and professionals.
