Rapallo hosts 51st Rapalloonia International Cartoonists Exhibition

The 51st edition of Rapalloonia, the International Cartoonists Exhibition, is scheduled to take place in Rapallo from September 26 to October 11, 2026. As one of Italy’s oldest comic book events, this year’s program features a central exhibition dedicated to Lorenzo Mattotti.

The Mattotti exhibition, curated by Giovanni Nahmias in collaboration with Galerie Martel in Paris, will be hosted at the Castello sul mare. It will showcase over 80 original plates from the artist’s career spanning more than forty years, organized into three sections: Periferia, Valvoline, and Graphic Novel.

The inaugural weekend on September 26 and 27 will include meetings, presentations, and signing sessions with over 40 authors. Activities will be held primarily at Villa Queirolo and the Castello sul mare, featuring discussions on creativity and book presentations.
