Raphael Montes' Thriller 'A Estranha na Cama' Hits Pre‑Sale Ahead of 2026 Release and Netflix Film

Brazilian author Raphael Montes' new suspense novel "A Estranha na Cama" entered pre‑sale on major digital platforms and will be available in stores from 1 September 2026. The book is published by Companhia das Letras and will be officially launched at the Bienal do Livro, scheduled for 4–13 September 2026.

The story follows a long‑term couple, Laura and Diego Guimarães Prata, whose attempt at a threesome with an unknown woman spirals into a web of secrets, lies and violence. The novel blends psychological thriller elements with erotic tension.

A film adaptation for Netflix has been confirmed for 2027. The project will be directed by Esmir Filho, with a screenplay co‑written by Raphael Montes and Janaína Tokitaka. The announced cast includes Paolla Oliveira, Bella Campos, Emílio Dantas, Vera Fischer and Paulo Bettie.

The release marks Montes' entry into erotic thriller fiction and expands his presence in audiovisual adaptations, following previous successes such as the series "Bom Dia, Verônica".
