Raphael Onyedika linked with transfer to Al-Ittihad or Eintracht Frankfurt

Nigerian international midfielder Raphael Onyedika, 25, is in the final year of his contract with Belgian champions Club Brugge, which runs until June 2027. The player, valued at around €23 million, has attracted interest from Saudi Pro League side Al‑Ittihad and German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt as the summer 2026 transfer window approaches.

Al‑Ittihad is reported to offer substantially higher wages, potentially double those proposed by Frankfurt, while the German club offers continued exposure in one of Europe's top leagues. Club Brugge have indicated a desire to sell the midfielder before his contract expires to avoid a free transfer, and have extended a contract offer that Onyedika has refused.

During his four seasons at Brugge, Onyedika has made over 180 appearances, contributed to two league titles, a cup win and a Super Cup, and played in UEFA Champions League group stages. He remains professional, participating in the club's preseason camp in France while negotiations continue.
