Raphinha poised for contract extension at FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona is planning to negotiate a contract extension with Brazilian forward Raphinha following his exceptional start to the season. Although his current deal runs until June 30, 2028, club official Deco confirmed that the team intends to sit down with the player in the coming weeks to extend his stay by one or two seasons.

Raphinha has thrived under manager Hansi Flick, transitioning from a winger to a central attacking role. He has scored eight goals in his first five matches of the season, including six in La Liga and two in the Champions League. Flick has praised the player's form, stating, “Raphinha is playing fantastically, he is on another level. It is unbelievable. When he performs like this, for me, he is one of the best players in the world.”

The player is reportedly happy in Catalonia and eager to continue his career at the club, a sentiment that has solidified following Flick's appointment and tactical changes.
