Rapid Action Battalion arrests ‘Shooter Arman’ in Faridpur

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Md Arman Hossain Dipu, also known as ‘Shooter Arman’, in the Boalmari area of Faridpur. Arman is identified as the leader of the ‘Arman Bahini’ gang and is one of the most wanted criminals in Khulna.

During the operation, law enforcement recovered a foreign-made pistol, two shotguns, and 12 rounds of ammunition. Arman is accused of multiple murders and an attempted murder in June, during which he allegedly shot at worshippers in a mosque.

His gang, consisting of eight to ten members, reportedly operated in Daulatpur, Khalishpur, and Arongghata to extort money from local businessmen via WhatsApp calls using foreign numbers. The arrest was a joint operation involving RAB-6, the Detective Branch of Khulna Metropolitan Police, and district police.
