Security forces in Bangladesh tighten measures for Eid-e-Miladunnabi

Law enforcement agencies in Bangladesh have implemented extensive security measures to ensure the peaceful observance of Eid-e-Miladunnabi. In Dhaka, the Metropolitan Police has established a strict security blanket, utilizing pickets, checkposts, and intensified search operations at city entry points. Specialized units, including SWAT, the Bomb Disposal Unit, and K-9 squads, are conducting sweeping operations at key locations, supported by CCTV and drone surveillance.

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has also deployed special security plans across the country. This includes increased patrolling, intelligence surveillance by plainclothes officers, and the deployment of skeleton forces in high-risk areas. RAB is coordinating with local religious leaders, imams, and community committees to maintain order. Additionally, cyber patrolling has been intensified to monitor and prevent the spread of rumors or provocative content on social media that could disrupt communal harmony.
