Rapid Bucharest considers sale of Timotej Jambor to AS Trencin
Rapid Bucharest is considering a transfer for Slovakian striker Timotej Jambor, who may move to AS Trencin during the winter transfer window. Jambor joined Rapid in the summer of 2024 for a fee of 1 million euros, but has struggled to meet expectations.
During his tenure, Jambor has seen limited playing time, appearing in only five matches this season for a total of 168 minutes, contributing one assist. He has previously spent time on loan at Zilina and Slask Wroclaw. While coach Daniel Pancu has experimented with playing him as a central defender to utilize his ability to anticipate attacker movements, he is not currently viewed as an essential part of the squad.
AS Trencin is interested in the player, though Rapid's management faces a decision regarding the transfer fee, as it is unlikely they will recoup the original 1 million euro investment. Jambor's current market value is estimated at approximately 350,000 euros.
