Rapid București and Genoa to face off in friendly match

Rapid București and Genoa CFC will face each other in a friendly match on Friday, October 2, at 19:00 in Giulești, Romania. The match serves as a test for Genoa manager Daniele De Rossi to evaluate his squad ahead of their upcoming fixture against Fiorentina.

Both clubs share the same majority owner, Dan Șucu, who described the encounter as a “celebration.” The two teams are currently experiencing different competitive seasons: Rapid București holds second place in the Romanian Superliga, while Genoa sits in 19th place in Italy's Serie A.

Several players will be absent from the match due to international duties. Rapid București will be without Morutan, Vulturar, Doumbia, Sinyan, and Annan. Genoa will be missing nine players, including Østigard, Otoa, Vasquez, Wiafe, Puczka, Mitaj, Ellertsson, Sow, and Osmajic.
