Rapid București terminates contract of striker Borisav Burmaz

Rapid București has officially announced the mutual termination of striker Borisav Burmaz's contract. The 25-year-old Serbian forward joined the club from FK Vozdovac in January 2024 for a fee of 400,000 euros.

Burmaz had a strong initial season, but his performance was impacted by a cruciate ligament injury sustained in the summer of 2025. Following the injury, he struggled to return to his previous form, appearing in only three matches last season and two matches in the current campaign.

Club president Victor Angelescu indicated that Burmaz likely has an offer from a team in Serbia. The club released a statement thanking the player for his 61 appearances and 11 goals during his two-and-a-half-year tenure.
