Rapid Exploits Pressure Faster Patch Management Across Enterprises

Security researchers report that attackers are now exploiting software flaws within days of disclosure, while many organizations still take months to apply patches. A recent case involved a critical unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability (CVE‑2026‑22679) in the Weaver E‑cology office‑automation platform, which was leveraged by hackers from mid‑March to run discovery commands on Chinese enterprises. The vendor released a fix that removes the vulnerable debug endpoint, but most users have not yet upgraded.

Meanwhile, the vulnerability‑management vendor NinjaOne highlights the growing gap between exploit speed and remediation time. Its platform integrates continuous scanning, AI‑driven patch intelligence and a unified console to prioritize and deploy updates without manual exports, aiming to shrink the average 200‑plus‑day remediation window.

Both incidents illustrate the accelerating pace of exploit development and the need for coordinated, real‑time patching solutions to limit exposure.
