Rapid KL reiterates ban on eating and drinking in LRT services

Rapid KL has reaffirmed that eating and drinking are strictly prohibited at stations, platforms, and inside Light Rail Transit (LRT) trains. The company emphasized that these restrictions are in place to maintain cleanliness and ensure a comfortable environment for all commuters.

The enforcement follows public outcry regarding an incident where a passenger was filmed consuming food and what appeared to be alcohol on a train during the morning commute. Social media reports highlighted issues such as abandoned food waste and alcohol cans left on seats.

Rapid KL urged passengers to comply with all regulations and requested that any rule violations or suspicious incidents be reported immediately to station staff, auxiliary police, or through official Rapid KL communication channels.
