Rapid KL to begin Kelana Jaya LRT track works in September

Rapid KL has announced a phased track replacement project on the Kelana Jaya LRT Line, scheduled to run from September 13, 2026, through September 2027. The maintenance work is intended to ensure the safety and reliability of the rail infrastructure.

The project will be executed in seven distinct phases, with different station clusters affected on specific Sundays. During these maintenance periods, affected stations will delay their start of operations until 9:30 am. While ticketing machines at these stations will be closed until 9:30 am, passengers can purchase tickets at station counters, and Rapid KL or Touch ‘n Go users can continue their journeys using card access.

To mitigate travel disruptions, Rapid KL will provide free shuttle bus services to connect the affected stations to the rest of the line. Station staff, auxiliary police, and Prasarana Troopers will be deployed to assist passengers. Stations not included in a specific phase's schedule will continue to operate according to their normal daily schedules.
