Rapid Support Forces attacks cause civilian deaths and displacement in North Kordofan

Attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in North Kordofan state, Sudan, have resulted in civilian deaths and large-scale displacement. The Sudanese Doctors Network reported that at least five civilians were killed during attacks on the Al-Qa'a and Al-Koukiti areas west of Bara. These operations also involved the looting of homes, livestock, and crops, displacing more than 3,000 people.

Separately, the Dar Hamra Emergency Room confirmed the deaths of four civilians in an RSF attack on the Al-Qa'a region. Additionally, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) reported that 450 individuals were displaced in a single day from Al-Qardoud Abu Zaid village in Al-Rahad locality due to escalating insecurity, moving toward Umm Rawaba.

The violence follows recent shifts in control in the region, where the Sudanese army and its allies regained control of Bara and surrounding areas in July, prompting RSF retreats toward the western localities of Bara and Sudari.
