Rapido bans driver following harassment of minor in Uttar Pradesh

A Rapido driver has been permanently banned from the platform following a viral video showing the harassment of a minor passenger in Uttar Pradesh. The footage, recorded by the teenager on August 14, depicts the driver inappropriately touching the boy, who is seen attempting to defend himself.

In response to the incident, Rapido issued a statement expressing regret for the experience and confirming that the driver, referred to as a ‘captain’, has been barred from the service. The company stated that behavior compromising customer safety or respect is unacceptable and emphasized its commitment to maintaining a safe platform.
