Rapido expands Ownly food delivery app to Hyderabad

Rapido has expanded its food delivery platform, Ownly, to Hyderabad, marking its second major market following a debut in Bengaluru. The service is available via a standalone app on iOS and Android, as well as through the existing Rapido application.

The platform utilizes a zero-commission model designed to benefit restaurant partners, who retain the full value of each order without paying a percentage fee to the platform. Customers are charged a delivery fee tied to the actual cost of completing the order. To facilitate deliveries, Ownly leverages Rapido’s existing network of riders, referred to as Captains.

To mark the launch in Hyderabad, the company hosted a celebration for its Captain community featuring actor Nani. Aravind Sanka, Co-Founder of Rapido and Ownly, stated that the model aims to ensure restaurants keep their earnings while customers pay only for food and delivery.
