Rapido rider accused of harassing customer in Noida

A Rapido delivery rider in Noida has been accused of harassing a customer by sending unsolicited personal messages. Geetika Srivastava, a digital communication expert, reported that after booking a parcel delivery, the rider contacted her private number to ask how she was and subsequently sent an “I Love You” message.

When the woman warned the rider not to contact her again and threatened to file a police complaint, the rider reportedly responded defiantly, telling her to go ahead and complain to both the police and Rapido. Srivastava shared screenshots of the interaction on LinkedIn, questioning the company’s recruitment, monitoring processes, and the training provided to delivery partners regarding customer privacy.

Rapido responded to the post by apologizing and stating that they take such matters seriously, emphasizing that customer safety, respect, and dignity are their top priorities. However, the incident has sparked further debate on social media regarding whether an apology is sufficient and what concrete disciplinary actions will be taken against the rider.
