Rapidus launches semiconductor ecosystem with 17 partner companies
Rapidus has announced the establishment of ‘Rapidus CORE’ (Collaborative Open Rapid Ecosystem), a global framework designed to support the development and mass production of cutting-edge semiconductors. To address the increasing complexity of advanced chip design, the company is launching its first phase, the ‘Design Solution Associate’ group.
This initiative involves a partnership with 17 companies to provide a comprehensive ecosystem that connects research, electronic design automation (EDA), intellectual property (IP), and manufacturing. By collaborating with these design-related firms, Rapidus aims to assist customers—including those lacking specialized internal expertise—in accelerating the transition from design to production.
The 17 partner companies include global EDA leaders Cadence Design Systems and Synopsys, as well as regional players such as Toshiba Information Systems, DNP, TOPPAN, and Infosys. This strategic move is intended to expand Rapidus’s potential customer base and strengthen its supply capabilities in competition with established industry leaders.
