Rapolla concludes 22nd Parco Urbano delle Cantine festival

The 22nd edition of the Parco Urbano delle Cantine in Rapolla has concluded, themed ‘A journey through the flavors and colors of Vulture’. The two-day event drew thousands of visitors, many traveling from regions such as Puglia, Campania, Tuscany, and Lombardy.

The festival featured a variety of traditional activities, including guided tours of the ancient village, olive oil tastings at the Cooperativa Rapolla Fiorente and Vecchio Frantoio, and traditional milk processing demonstrations. Attendees also participated in several sessions of barefoot grape crushing organized by the ‘Scusate il Ritardo’ association.

A major highlight was the historical reenactment of the assault by Galvano Lancia’s archers, which took place in January 1255. This included a medieval procession starting from Piazza Garibaldi and a fire spectacle. Other attractions included falconry displays, street performers, folk music, and photographic exhibitions documenting local peasant life and historical city imagery.
