Rapper 1 44 9 8 releases new single ‘Chi Paga’

Turin-based independent rapper 1 44 9 8 has released the single ‘Chi Paga’, a collaboration with Masa Squiat and Arcobaledo produced by Dave_Zeta. The track serves as a precursor to the upcoming ‘Kani Sciolti Mixtape Vol. 2’, a collective project scheduled for release in winter 2027.

The song utilizes hip hop to provide a social critique of contemporary society, addressing themes such as economic inequality, power dynamics, and the increasing difficulty of achieving stability and dignity in a competitive environment. The lyrics explore the concept of who ultimately bears the cost of social and economic transformations when opportunities become increasingly exclusive.
