During an appearance on the program Hot Ones, rapper Latto shared that a spicy seafood boil helped induce her labor. She explained to host Sean Evans that she had shown no signs of labor the night before her due date and decided to order a very hot meal in hopes of starting the process.
Latto reported that her water broke less than an hour after consuming the meal. The rapper welcomed a daughter in May, a child she shares with rapper 21 Savage. The couple has maintained privacy regarding the child's name and appearance.
Latto also discussed her pregnancy experience, noting that she experienced significant shortness of breath while recording her album, Big Mama, and dealt with frequent bathroom breaks. She added that her pregnancy cravings shifted from her usual preference for spicy food to a strong desire for sweets.
