Rapper T.I. Announces Retirement and Farewell Album 'Kill The King

Atlanta rapper T.I. confirmed he is retiring after more than two decades in the music industry. He will release a final project titled *Kill The King* as a farewell to fans and to mark the end of his recording career.

In an interview with PEOPLE, T.I. said he has been living a retired life since the pandemic, choosing to focus on family and his seven children with Grammy‑winning wife Tiny Harris. He expressed gratitude, stating, “I’ve gotten everything I prayed for from the game,” and announced he will pass the torch to his sons King and Domani, who are entering the hip‑hop business.

The album title reflects advice he received early in his career from fellow Atlanta icon Big Boi, who likened the concept to a chess move: “the game of life is to kill the king.” T.I. emphasized that his departure is a personal decision rather than a forced exit, and he plans to enjoy his post‑music life.
