Rapsani hosts four‑day sports and ceramics program in August 2026
From 4 to 7 August 2026 the village of Rapsani in Greece will hold a series of community activities organized by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki’s Program for Promotion of Self‑Help and the Municipal Library of Rapsani. On 4 August a 3×3 basketball tournament for residents and visitors will take place at the local primary school, emphasizing solidarity and enjoyment. The following day, 5 August, an adult ceramics workshop titled “Carving Light: Introduction to Sgraffito” will teach participants the sgraffito technique, tracing its history from ancient pottery to modern applications. On 6 and 7 August a two‑day children’s ceramics workshop called “Faces in Clay: Seeing Like Picasso” will encourage creative thinking by having children discover hidden images in simple shapes, inspired by Pablo Picasso’s work.
The program aims to foster community interaction, cultural heritage appreciation, and artistic expression among participants of all ages.
