Rapsody hosts album listening event at Brooklyn Public Library

Grammy Award-winning rapper Rapsody hosted a listening event for her album ‘God Gotta Afro & Gold Hoops’ at the Brooklyn Public Library. The event was part of the library’s ‘Bars and Books’ program, a community initiative that combines book club elements with cultural celebrations.

During the session, Rapsody engaged directly with community members, discussing her production choices and international influences. Attendees received lyric booklets designed to mimic the liner notes found on physical media like cassettes and CDs, providing deeper insight into her artistic perspective.

Rapsody emphasized the importance of in-person connection over digital interactions, stating that while she participates in digital promotion, she prioritizes ‘community things’ and real-world engagement with her supporters.
