Disney sued by former child star Raquel Lee Bolleau

Former child actress Raquel Lee Bolleau has filed a civil negligence lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The suit alleges that while filming the 2001 Disney Channel original movie ‘The Poof Point’, Bolleau was repeatedly sexually assaulted by an unidentified middle-aged male employee.

Bolleau, now 39, claims the assailant provided her with alcohol during production in Salt Lake City and that an assault also occurred during a flight from Utah to California. The complaint alleges that Disney failed to intervene despite the misconduct allegedly occurring within earshot of staff members. The lawsuit further claims the perpetrator made sexually explicit jokes on set around minors.

Reports indicate that Bolleau reached a confidential settlement with actor Mark Curry, who played her father in the film, in 2015. While attorney Gloria Allred represented Bolleau in that private matter, the current lawsuit against Disney does not name Curry as the perpetrator, identifying the assailant only as an unnamed employee. Disney has declined to comment on the litigation.
