Dominican Vice President Raquel Peña and Housing Minister Jean Luis Rodríguez led several initiatives in the Bahoruco province to improve housing and legal security for local families.

In Neiba, the government officially delivered the first stage of the Residencial Vista del Lago I & II housing project. This stage includes 128 apartments for 70 prioritized families. The total project, managed through FONVIVIENDA, involves an investment of RD$352 million, with a state subsidy of RD$76 million. The development is expected to eventually house 240 units.

Additionally, in the Galván municipality, Peña oversaw the delivery of 165 property title certificates to families benefiting from the Agroforestry Development Project (PDA) executed by UTEPDA. This initiative provides legal security to residents in the mountain communities of the Sierra de Neiba, protecting their family heritage and increasing property values.
