Raquel Sánchez Silva named Mejor Calzada de España 2026

Journalist and television presenter Raquel Sánchez Silva has been selected as the 'Mejor Calzada de España 2026'. The announcement was made by the Mayor of Elda, Rubén Alfaro.

As the recipient of this honorary distinction, Sánchez Silva will serve as an ambassador for women's footwear manufactured in Elda for one year. The award aims to promote the quality, design, and tradition of local shoemakers and artisans. This year's edition is held under the theme 'Voces que dejan huella' (Voices that leave a mark), focusing on the professionals and craftsmen behind the footwear industry.

The award ceremony is scheduled for November 4 at the Teatro Castelar. Sánchez Silva becomes the 22nd woman to receive this honor, joining a list of previous recipients including Marta Sánchez and Nieves Álvarez.
