RARA editorial project to host workshop exhibition in Igualada

The editorial project RARA will host an exhibition titled ‘Editar és una presència - Inclinacions atípiques i a contracorrent’ at La Sala, the municipal exhibition space in Igualada, starting September 17.

The exhibition celebrates the project receiving the 2025 Gaspar Camps Design Award. It is designed to function as an open editorial workshop, allowing the public to observe the creation process of an art and thought magazine. Drawing inspiration from the reconstruction of Francis Bacon’s studio at the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin, the space will showcase the journey from thematic selection to design decisions and technical execution.

Edited by the cultural cooperative Surtdecasa, RARA is led by cultural manager Roger Mula and journalist Anna Zaera. The publication, which features an annual periodicity, has previously explored themes such as Distance, Refuge, and Play. The upcoming exhibition will also feature manual intervention processes for the fifth issue, which focuses on the concept of Communion.
