Rare McLaren P1 GT Lanzante slated for $3‑3.5 M auction at Monterey Car Week

British tuning firm Lanzante built only four McLaren P1 GT Lanzante cars, a road‑legal version of the track‑only P1 GTR that echoes the 1997 F1 GT Longtail which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The third example, numbered 3, will be offered at an RM Sotheby’s auction during Monterey Car Week in California. The car features a twin‑turbo V8 hybrid powertrain delivering 986 hp, carbon‑fiber bodywork and added road‑use comforts such as air‑conditioning and electric windows.

The auction catalogue lists the vehicle’s mileage at just 8,825 km, a clean Carfax report and an estimated value between US$3.0 million and US$3.5 million. Collectors are expected to bid aggressively for one of the world’s rarest modern supercars.
