RareX prepares maiden drilling at Khaleesi project in Western Australia

RareX (ASX:REE) has mobilised field crews to the Khaleesi Project in Western Australia to commence a 3,500‑metre reverse‑circulation drilling campaign slated for mid‑August. The program will test five priority targets across the Khaleesi Alkaline Intrusive Complex for gallium, rare earth elements and niobium, with the largest target, Niobe, showing surface gallium mineralisation over a 5 km × 3 km area.

Preparations include reopening historic access tracks, constructing drill pads and completing heritage, environmental and logistical requirements. The company has also lodged an application for an adjoining tenement, expected to be granted in the coming weeks. Managing director James Durrant said the team is ready to put the geological model to the test and that the project could become a key component of RareX’s critical‑minerals portfolio.
