Ras Ajai to release final song following murder in Jamaica

Reggae and dancehall artist Ras Ajai, born Brian Todd Boucher, is scheduled to release his final song, ‘Love Is Kind’, on September 4. The release follows his murder on August 1 in Portmore, Jamaica.

The 47-year-old singer and actor was shot and killed in his hometown of Waterford shortly after arriving from New York City. Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with the shooting.

Produced by Money Matters Entertainment, the track serves as a final contribution from an artist who recently expanded his career into acting. Boucher notably portrayed Claudius Massop in the 2024 film ‘Bob Marley: One Love’. His musical career included touring as an opening act for Sean Paul and appearing on the Grammy-nominated album ‘Live N Living’.
