Ras al-Ahmar families ordered to evacuate by settlers
Settlers have issued an eviction notice to 47 Palestinian families living in the Ras al-Ahmar community, located southeast of Tubas in the northern West Bank. The families have been given until Sunday evening to vacate their homes following a 27-day siege that included the closure of roads connecting the area to its surroundings.
Hassan Mlihat, General Supervisor of the Al-Baider Organization, stated that the families face an uncertain fate due to continuous pressure and the humanitarian crisis caused by the blockade. Residents report that the isolation has intensified over the last three years, reaching a critical point in mid-September when a trench was dug, cutting off the final exit for the community.
Local residents noted that the community relies on approximately 360,000 dunams of grazing land, but nearly 90% of this area has been seized or made inaccessible. The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported that settler attacks against Palestinians and their property reached 5,561 incidents between the start of 2026 and the end of September.
