Ras Al Khaimah expands international investment in hospitality and business

U.S.-operated hotel brands are set to manage nearly half of the total hotel keys in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. Out of 12,811 total keys in the emirate, 6,365 will be operated by U.S. companies, representing the largest single-market share held by any group of operators in the region.

Key developments include the Wynn Al Marjan Island, scheduled to open in 2027. As the largest single U.S. foreign direct investment project in the UAE, the resort will feature 1,530 rooms and various dining and leisure facilities. Other prominent U.S. brands active in the emirate include Ritz-Carlton and Waldorf Astoria.

Separately, the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) is actively promoting the emirate as a growth platform for international businesses. At a recent seminar in Dubai, RAKEZ highlighted the region's economic stability and competitive environment to Irish executives. Currently, more than 250 Irish-linked companies are part of the RAKEZ business community.
