Rashid Al Dhaheri to debut in FIA Formula 3 with Van Amersfoort Racing

Rashid Al Dhaheri has signed with Van Amersfoort Racing to compete in the FIA Formula 3 Championship starting in 2027. The 18-year-old Emirati driver will become the first national from the United Arab Emirates to participate in the international series.

Al Dhaheri, a Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team junior driver, joins a team known for developing talent such as Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. He will join teammates Enzo Deligny and Yevan David for the 2027 season. His move follows successful stints in Formula 4 and Formula Regional, where he secured multiple podiums and victories.

The upcoming Formula 3 campaign will consist of 10 rounds across four continents, serving as a key step in the FIA single-seater development pathway toward Formula One.
