Rashid Shaheed signs three‑year $51 million deal to stay with Seattle Seahawks

Seattle wide receiver Rashid Shaheed confirmed his return to the Super Bowl‑winning Seahawks by signing a three‑year contract worth $51 million in March 2026. Acquired from the New Orleans Saints in November 2025, Shaheed highlighted that the deal gives him confidence after earning his first championship ring.

Shaheed, who recorded 59 catches for 687 yards and two touchdowns last season, said he is focused on building chemistry with quarterback Sam Darnold. The pair spent part of the offseason training together at Saddleback College in Orange County, a routine Shaheed believes improves timing and on‑field coordination.

Head coach Mike Macdonald praised Shaheed's progress, noting improvements in route timing and familiarity with the offensive scheme under first‑year offensive coordinator Brian Fleury. Shaheed added that he feels more comfortable with the playbook and looks forward to contributing throughout the upcoming season.
