Rashida Tlaib calls for arrest of Israeli soldier Sean Glass

U.S. Representative Rashida Tlaib has called on the United States government to arrest and investigate Sean Glass, an Israeli military commander believed to be responsible for the death of five-year-old Hind Rajab in Gaza.

The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) has filed an emergency request with the U.S. Department of Justice to seek Glass's arrest. According to the HRF, Glass commanded the ‘Vampire Empire’ Company, which was positioned in the direct vicinity of the vehicle carrying Rajab and her family when they came under fire on January 29, 2024. The foundation alleges that Glass may have ordered the attack that killed the child, her family members, and the medics sent to rescue them.

Tlaib stated that as a party to the Genocide Convention and the Geneva Conventions, the U.S. is obligated to investigate these alleged war crimes. An investigation by Forensic Architecture previously concluded that no exchange of fire occurred and that only Israeli forces were present in the area during the incident.
