Financial disclosures reveal that Representative Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) holds investments in Bitcoin and Ethereum through exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Her Charles Schwab retirement account includes up to $15,000 in the Grayscale Ethereum Staking Mini ETF and another $15,000 in an iShares Bitcoin ETF.

The holdings have drawn attention due to Tlaib’s legislative record, which includes voting against the CLARITY Act and supporting a resolution to ban “crypto corruption.” The investments are held within a traditional IRA, a Roth IRA, and college savings accounts.

While some reports emphasize the potential reputational friction between her voting record and her personal assets, the holdings consist of regulated ETF wrappers rather than direct ownership of digital tokens. The disclosures come as the Senate prepares to vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act in September.
