Actress Rashmika Mandanna has launched a charitable initiative called ‘Project Annapoorna’ to support 400 underprivileged families. The program aims to cover grocery expenses for these families in three-month installments over the course of one year, allowing them to redirect their funds toward future planning.

Mandanna shared the news on social media, noting that while she has previously engaged in private charitable work, she decided to go public to encourage others to participate in small acts of kindness. She cited her character Jayamma from the upcoming film ‘Ranabaali’ as a source of inspiration, stating that the character’s inclination toward helping others reflects her own real-life values.
