Rashod Bateman faces charges following alleged domestic incident

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman is facing multiple charges following an alleged domestic incident in Georgia involving the mother of his infant daughter. According to police reports, an argument occurred in early June, during which Bateman allegedly pushed the woman into a wall, causing facial contusions.

Following the argument, Bateman reportedly attempted to puncture a tire on the woman’s Mercedes-Benz with a screwdriver and struck the vehicle’s windshield and driver-side window with the tool. The woman and her three-month-old daughter were hospitalized due to injuries, including cuts from shattered glass. Bateman was arrested on charges including family violence battery, reckless conduct, and first-degree criminal damage to property.

Bateman’s attorney, Jordan Siev, stated that the situation has been ‘taken completely out of context for sensational reasons’ and noted that facts would emerge through the court process. The Baltimore Ravens confirmed they are aware of the case and have notified the NFL, which is currently reviewing the matter under its personal conduct policy.
